ARGH Vent... Coffee Break thread on other boards
Posted by: smileyzookie - 10-18-2007, 01:12 PM - Forum: Off-Topic - Replies (40)

I dont know why this eats me up so much but good grief. Why is it so dam difficult for these people to change their profile from view new posts?? It just makes me so dang angry. If people dont want to see the coffee break there has to be a way to prevent those posts from showing when only viewing new posts. Its like, they give us this cool section, and then says sorry only if its relevant can you post... er... then it really isnt a off topic section is it? I think the issue for me is, the working people complain and its like oh bow to you and your mighty sheep. Im exaggerating, and it isnt anyone in particular but it just eats me up, and Im not posting this on the other board cause Im now afraid to post in coffee break lol.

vent over......

I just got home from Uni tonight. I'm doing an extra course for work. My tutor and I just clash big time! Anyway she opened my folder, read a couple of pages, then told me it wasn't in-depth enough and I haven't done enough research and referencing. She said "bluntly" I'd be lucky to get a C pass, I answered "bluntly" I'd be quite happy with that.
I have given this my all, it's doing my f"£^%*ng head in to put it "bluntly".
One week she tells us one thing - the next week she tells something else and the whole group don't know whether we're coming or going. I just need to hope when we put in the paper she's not the first marker :x

The pups are glued to the tv right now watching the story of Shiloh the hero BCMix! She saves her wolf hybrid companion Stikia(sp?) when she falls into an abandoned well. The expressions they're making in response to the dogs' whining and barking are hilarious!

Shiloh the BC is a real cutie!

I am the Queen of Poops!!!
Posted by: BCMixs - 10-16-2007, 10:18 PM - Forum: General Border Collie Discussion - Replies (10)

Now where's my crown, people????

Wahoo! Woobie's poops have been consistently firm for almost 2 weeks now with the Hill's special z/d food with hydrolyzed proteins (they're soooo little, the dog's immune system can't react to them) and we have had no anal issues for that long as well! So even though it's pricey, it beats having to glove up and deal with those things myself or to pay the vet tech $13 to do it!

And, my poor pup Indie, is trying to gain some dog-gone weight. Keeping his system happy so he can absorb nutrients is uber important right now, so I'm constantly monitoring HIS poops as well! The high-fiber food the vet put him on is also working out nicely and his poops are firm also. Not as firm as Woobies, but firm enough to help him gain 4 lbs in 5 days!

So, y'all seriously need to crown me with a big brown turd on the top of my head because I am the Queen!!! LOL! It must be a sight to see me out in the backyard with the flashlight inspecting the poops before I scoop them! This is what my life has come to. Poop Inspector.

We're looking at rescuing a Bengal cat
Posted by: smileyzookie - 10-16-2007, 08:30 PM - Forum: Off-Topic - Replies (21)

Its pretty neat. I've always thought they were beautiful, but I wouldnt spend thousands of $$ on them. This family is getting rid of their 2 year old female because the man become allergic. They're asking a $75 rehoming fee on her to make sure people will actually take care of her, and keeping papers till its verified she's fixed. Which Im all about fixing her. I dont want to breed any animals. So, pretty cool I can sorta rescue one Smile Dunno if it will work out, but we're crossing our fingers.

Here's a picture of her

  New Riven agility video
Posted by: smileyzookie - 10-15-2007, 08:33 PM - Forum: Working Dogs, Sports, & Training - Replies (11)

Geez, I was running as fast as my stubby legs would carry me lol. I had been running with her for an hour and she and I were burnt out by this point. I hadnt realized how frumpy I looked or I would never have allowed this video. It was really cold and windy lol.

I had to get in front of her at the A frame both times cuase she isnt pausing, so I treat to make her pause. When she runs off on the next to last jump she thought i wanted her to jump the jump straight from her not turn. I messed that up and so thats why she didnt do the tire jump. It was my fault. Anyway for your viewing pleasure....
