Bio: Hi, my name's Jossie Marie, and I have a beautiful blue Merle border collie pup named Ludo. When we got Ludo we were told he was eight week's old but I'm not sure that was correct as he is now meant to be nearly 13 weeks and is still very small.
My husband brought Ludo for me as a Christmas present, as due to an epidural I have been left disabled, and need a dog to help me with the things I can no longer do for myself, so Ludo will be doing training as a service dog.
My husband picked a border collie because of their intelligence, and also because we had a tri border collie called Bean's, who sadly is no longer with us. (we miss him dearly) We have three dog's, harley a jack russel X, (he has border collie in him too) and hooch a Rottweiler,
My husband has not had much experience when it comes to choosing pups, but he had instructions from Dog A.I,D who will hopefully be helping us train Ludo, on how to pick a good service dog pup.
When Ludo came to us he had a terrible lice problem, which took a while to get on top of, the vet gave us a treatment that really didn't seem to do much at first so then it was medicated baths, and grooming with a flea comb every other day, and slowly bit by bit we have got rid of the horrible little things.
I don't think Ludo really came from the best place in the world, I think the farmer was trying to get rid of the pups as quickly as possible, but the vet has been helping us ensure that he stays strong and healthy, and he is a very healthy and happy puppy now. Who is doing well with his crate training, toilet training and has already mastered walking on his lead beside my mobility scooter and riding on its foot plate. Don't worry he has had his Jab's the vet said he was going to treat him as if he was the age the farmer had claimed even though we all felt he was younger.
So that's us, we're new here and looking forward to meeting other border collie owners love and hugs Joss and Ludo.
