food
Ok, so with all the new foods available to us we've been looking at them to find one that our Bailey can have, which is hard due to allergies. She's seems to have tired off her current food.
heres the question: what is "meal"?

RE: food
I was not sure so I looked it up:
There is no such thing as "human grade meat meal", since meat meal is never produced for human consumption and the facilities producing it are not licensed or certified to manufacture human-edible products that meet FDA standards. If you are looking for the closest comparable thing, it would be something like meats that are freeze-dried after cooking, such as for backpacking and emergency food rations. It also says it is made of animal tissue free of bones and hooves.

RE: food
The short answer. Meat and skin dehydrated. If memory serves me correctly it takes roughly 4 lbs of say chicken meat to make 4 lbs of Chicken Meal. It's an excellent protien source.

RE: food
Not sure where you are located, but the limited ingredient foods have become more and more popular with multiple premium manufactures now producing them. Do you know what the allergies are to? I'm sure there are a few people who could help ya out here. One of my cats went through 23 different types of food before I found one that was non-prescription that she had a solid stool on. My 3 year old ridgeback mix and my 3 month old BC are both allergic to grains.
