That awkward moment

When you need to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, but as you make your way down the hallway in the dark your foot accidentally kicks a tennis ball or you step on a squeaky toy. Momentarily you freeze in your steps hardly daring to move as you quietly pray that your Border Collie did not hear what you just did.... to no avail..... *sigh*

Hehehee! My boys sleep in the garage in an attempt to stop this It's not fool proof and you often hear a little 'yap yap' from Fergus who's heard one of us creeping around! He recognises the sound of different people foot prints too. I can no chance of getting down the stairs without him stiring.

As i just said in another thread he lives on constant standby! As i'm sure most collies do

Green and I clean up all the toys and put them in the toy basket before bed to avoid this.

Holly hardly ever takes her toys upstairs, if she does it's during the day because she wants someone to play who has gone upstairs, i clear her toys up before bed anyway, just incase i need to come downstairs for a drink during the night, don't want to trip on them either!.
