well i have discovered that my gsd isnt proud bless her she is burping its so funny because she looks at us as if to say was that you also as she is comming into season she has taken to sitting of barney's (collie) face and suggestions on what i can do as niether of them have been dne yet i dont really want to get barney done as it could change him please any advice

You need to keep your 2 dogs seperated for at least 3 weeks if your bitch is in season, I've heard of dogs mating with bitches that are in crates and dogs that push past people opening dogs to get to each other. Also, I know of alot of people with dogs that have been used at stud that howl, won't eat when they have a bitch in season, so very stressful for dog. Why do you think it will change your dog? I have 2 castrated boys and they didn't change. You could try the chemical castration, an injection like a microchip that slowly releases a chemical to stop sperm production, it lasts for 6 months, so you can see if it will change your dog in any way before going for the surgical castration. Are you planning on getting your bitch spayed? I have a bitch in season at the moment too, but I haven't got an entire dog.

Bella was a big flirt when she was in season she would stick her bum in dogs faces, females would of done for her aswell!!

You need to keep them apart, your male will do anything to get to her.
