I am a male, black and white Border Collie mix.
I am located at the Southside Auxiliary Shelter - Brooks City-Base facility in kennel BR041.
The shelter staff think I am about 4 years old.
I am currently available for fostering, rescuing or adoption. If you are interested, it is critical that you visit me at the shelter or email ACSSaveALife@sanantonio.gov or call (210) 207-6666 to have staff place a hold on me prior to Jan 23, 2012 as I may be euthanized the following morning.

I wish I could help him. Is it ever an option to pay to keep him there until someone can take him?

At some of these shelters it is due to space so there isnt enouh money to keep one dog going. you could contact the shelter and see if they can put you on touch with someone that can better answer this question? Unfortunately that is all I know.

I have also forwarded his info to the rescue where I got Green. It is in PA but you never know.

I don't think it ever hurts to pass him on. Hopefully we will hear something good. Today will be a long day until we know if he made it out or not.

Ok, here is an update. He is on hold at the moment with the possibility of going to Colorado. Any donations would be helpful in maintaining him until a final spot to land is identified.
