I know!!!! I want him too, but I can only have 3....and I need to use that open space for a foster...if I ever get one.
That is a rant for a different day though. URGH!

Foster him haha. I would love to have him, but my guesses is he is in the US which doesn't help, also if I bring another dog home my mum would kill me haha

He is so cute ......I really dont get why he's in there and especially at such a young age If the previous owner didnt have time for a dog they shouldnt have got a puppy.Poor little guy

Hmmm....I am not certain how overseas adoptions would work. If you are serious, I can dig into it.

And my hands are tied as far as fostering for now. Until my rescue accepts the dogs, I can't go get them....extremely frustrating at the moment.

I will see what I can find out. I would recommend contacting the shelter in the Petango listing to start with. I have a message asking about overseas transports. I think this will be a bit more involved...private pilots are fewer than drivers. But I will let you know what I can find out.

Well, I did some asking, and it seems like quite the ordeal. In this instance, Elko is a very small shelter and may not be able to accomodate oversea adoptions. I think the biggest challenge would be having the ability to meet all the documentation requirements. But if you are interested in him or any other dog, contacting the shelter to see if they can or have recommendations of an experienced rescue that could help.

I imagine the costs of getting them here would be extortionate My brother and his fiancee moved back to the UK after 5 years in Oz and decided there was no way they could leave their cats behind, so they had to go through that whole procedure plus the cost of flying 2 cats (which weigh a combined 6kg!) was eye watering!!

It is extremely overwhelming looking at all the homeless dogs facing a trip the the bridge.

We can only do what we can do to help them...what seems minimal may be the one difference between a jaunt to the rainbow bridge tomorrow and a happy life in a furever home....

Spay and neuter...spay and neuter....that is all I can say.
