It's Raining
We haven't had any rain for over two weeks but it rained last night and has just started again this morning. Jess is not a fan of rain. Yes, she'll play out in it when I'm daft enough to endure it too but, given the choice, Jess would rather just sit it out in her house on the deck:

RE: It's Raining
My bc and Lurcher both walk in the rain, they do go outside in the garden in the rain too just to do there buisness, my bc loves lying outside on the patio at night, at the start of the year we had snow and she went outside and was out for ages and i did wonder what she was upto, so i opened the door to find Holly fast asleep on the step in the snow!!.

Rain does not stop play, here.
Actually this August after my holiday, we got soaked 3 days running by torrential rain, so heavy the pup was shaking himself off like he'd been swimming. |

RE: It's Raining
Freckles and Tuck stay in the dog house, BennE stands/lays out in the rain. They only allow him in the house when it's really REALLY cold. When they DO allow him in..he has to lay length wise and block the cold like a door. They're so mean.

Poor BennE!!!!!!! This will simply not do. He needs his own house!

RE: It's Raining
Mine don't mind the rain. They enjoy it actually, I think. They don't have to sleep in a dog house though. If that were the case I don't think they'd be too fond of the rain and cold. It hasn't rained here in 3 months.

RE: It's Raining
When it starts raining here most of all mine are scared to death of thunder. Well now they know that rain comes thunder and so even if it is not thundering they still run and hide just incase.
The only one that is not scared is biscuit and Boss(foster puppy, just a mix)

He has one... he sleeps on top of it ala-snoopy, but that's in his area... once it's dark he's in the bigger area with the borders next to the house. We had one in the main one for him but a) they were taking turns destroying it b) he wouldn't go in it and c) it took up too much real estate. Even if they did allow him to go into the house, he wouldn't... the only time he does is when it's super cold (40 degrees for us LOL)

Holly isn't a lover of thunder she is much better than she was, when she first heard it she would not move for about an hour!!.

RE: It's Raining
Jonesy and Abby love the rain They adore playing in mud, which is a pain for me 'cause I have to bath them after work before they can come in the house.
They are both pretty cool with thunder. Our past 2 dogs were terrified of thunder and fireworks, so we were seriously going to change things this time. When they were puppies (they are 15 months now) and we had the first thunder storm of the summer, we just ignored it completely. They got excited and ran around a bit but we didn't even make eye contact with them. Now, when it thunders, they want to go outside and bark at the sky! |

RE: It's Raining
I don't think Rocky even notices what the weather's like, he's just so pleased to go out, which is probably just as well considering the amount of rain we get.
![]() He loves being dried though, before we go out in the rain I put his towel on the radiator in the hall and when we come in he sits and waits to be dried.

RE: It's Raining
Wish we were getting some rain!!
Wisp hates getting wet, the other two don't really seem to notice. My first bc was a nutter though, apart from chasing thunder, he would try to catch the raindrops hitting the puddles, pouncing on each spalsh with great enthusiasm. Eventually it would just be water dripping off his nose causing the spalshing. so it was a self-perpetuating game - the best kind for a bc!
