Explosions near my home
I mentioned this to some of you on Facebook yesterday. There are new developments in the story of what they were.

http://www.uniondemocrat.com/News/Local-...other-Lode

I live on the corner of Racetrack Road, as mentioned in the article, and East Walnut Dr. It was pretty crazy. Still not sure I buy that it was Mythbusters. That had to be a lot of explosives.

They _think_ it was mythbusters? Is the quarry close enough to towns/houses for people to be able to call it in? You'd think they would have had someone investigate that...

It was close enough to residential areas that my house was rocked hard. The house shook as if an elephant had run into it. You could watch the glass windows vibrate. Neighbors thought we had an eathquake.

ETA: Interesting to note though, I did hear a plane yesterday that was a lot louder than normal. I thought for a second that it could be crashing but it just flew over. I didn't get outside in time to see it. And the Columbia airport, which is a small airstrip, is right in that direction and close to where that quarry is.

I don't think that could be it. This was earth rattling from miles away.

It's strange that no one seems to know what is going on.

I'd ask the police.....they usually know what weird things are happening on their patch.

The police have been asked. I called them myself. But they don't know for sure what is going on. They thought it was the quarry but the owner said it wasn't them.

I don't know where Coleville is. But this was on Thursday. I heard/felt 3 explosions between 4am and about 5pm. Each one was weaker than the last.

RE: Explosions near my home
We don't live in an earthquake area, but anywhere in the world will have some tremors and earth settling.
One night, I was on my cruise forum, when there was an almighty explosion....I felt the blast as much as heard it. I wrote on the forum, then dashed outside, along with neighbours.
People in the forum wrote that there'd been an earthquake under a lake about 20 miles away. It wasn't a big one but people around felt the tremors....it was just here that we heard the bang and blast.
Have you checked the US Geological maps for that day? You may have heard the cracks as the ground shifted or settled.
