Dog people
I saw this and thought it was cute lol, so figured I'd share
![]() We are dog people - you don't have to understand us! We have no problem picking out a little dog hair from our food and eating it anyway. It’s a given that we will inevitably step in the one pile of poo we missed out in the backyard during a game of fetch with the furkids. We are not welcome in most stores, because we always have our dogs with us. We don't think anything strange of someone talking... about bitch spray, harnesses or worms . We can raise our voice instantly by 5 octaves to greet our dogs. We would sooner get rid of a significant other before any of our dogs. We buy dog toys before buying our own food. We know more about our dog’s diet than we do our own. And we know that puppy therapy is the best cure for depression. My beautiful boy's ![]()

RE: Dog people
Oh so true!
My brother came out with the 'you're turning into one of those dog people' to me the other day, I just laughed and said it's great isn't it?! We found a Fergus hair in some food mum had covered in clingfilm yesterday and just looked at in and said 'yup, that's why some people can't cope with our house'...

RE: Dog people
So true! It's always fun to watch a non-dog person sit and daintily pick hair off their slacks while trying to have a conversation.

RE: Dog people
Non-dogpeople actually annoy me quite a bit. To each his own and all but I'd prefer they not come to my place. It's usually not an issue. But someone who's like "ew, don't sniff me", "stay away, dog", or anything like that in my home makes me upset. Don't call my dog "Dog" and sound rude about it. I will kick them out!

My sister does this and she actually owns a dog, well it's a retired greyhound so it doesn't do anything but sleep. She makes such a flap about conan coming over to her he gets excited thinking she's playing ie waving her arns and speaking high pitched. she calls him a horrible dog!! If she just stroked him calmly he would wander off |

Actually I kind of get a kick out of the non-dogpeople dance. Ever notice it? A friendly, tail-waggly dog goes trotting up to a non-dogperson and all of sudden the person breaks into this leg-wiggling, crotch-covering jig...usually much to the amusement of the dog, who decides that hey, 'this person must really like me!' Then the dog begins their own doggie happy dance, which gets non-dogperson dancing about even more. It's kinda cute. And definitely amusing.

RE: Dog people
Brandon I totally agree! My father in law (who I have met once in 12 years) came into MY house and went "get down beast!" to Shadow.
Um. Beast? I made him stand out in -10 rain/sleet to smoke because I don't like smoking in my house. Now normally I'd let them stand in the door. Nah, out in the garden, close the door please. Thank you! Some of the worst people I have ever met haven't liked dogs. Dog people are just MUCH better people generally. And the dog hair in food? Whoever gets the dog hair in our house wins.
