Best Day of Work!

Today, until I got called back to the office at 2pm, was a fab day at work! I went to the Rydal Sheepdog Trials with our Village Agents (I work for Age UK and we have a number of people who work in the small villages in South Lakeland, one is based in Ambleside/Grasmere/Rydal so we went along.)

It was FABULOUS! I've never seen so many collies in one place, I met some beautiful working dogs, some amazingly cute puppies and lots of very handsome Labradors. I was in my element. I got myself a new pair of walking boots (RRP £150, my price £35 because they'd been trialled i.e. worn twice) from a farming stall.

I was going to take Shadow for a day out if the weather had been nicer, but he hates the rain so would have been really miserable!

This was our little stall, to the right of the picture are Ben and Kayla (she has her head on him) Ben is 8 and Kayla is 17!

Wow- a great day at work.
Will you be at the Gosforth show next week? Or the Wasdale shepherds' meet? Or are you just S. Lakes?....we have a very active Age Concern here, though.

Yes Linda, that was my job yesterday . Normally it's sitting at a desk looking at the wall of the building next door so it was pretty nice.

And I managed not to come home with a puppy.
